Oak Park Alumnae Scholarships
The Oak Park Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota currently offers two different scholarship opportunities for music students in middle school and one for high school students.
40th Annual Elsie Sterrenberg String Scholarship Competition
Cash prizes for both a senior and junior division winner
Any violin, viola, cello, or string bass student in grades 4 through 8 for the Junior Division or grades 9 through 12 for the Senior Division is eligible to apply. Awards are $500 cash for the Senior Division and $300 cash for the Junior Division. A $25 application fee will apply. The competition takes place on April 25, 2026. Mabel Biever Summer Music Camp Scholarship
Providing $300 toward summer music camp tuition for a middle school student.
Any middle school student entering grade 6-8 is eligible to apply. Applications are typically distributed in early spring. Applicants must be recommended by a member of the Oak Park Alumnae Chapter. Please reach out it you are interested!
